The popular battle royale game Battlegrounds Mobile India (BGMI) has been removed from the Apple and Google app stores in India, disappointing fans. The ban on BGMI is the result of a government order. A Google spokesperson confirmed to TOI Tech-Gadgets Now that the app was removed in response to government orders. "Upon receipt of the order, we notified the affected developer and blocked access to the app that remained available on the Play Store in India," Google stated in a statement. Despite Apple's refusal to comment, the BGMI game app has also been removed from the company's India App Store.

Krafton, for its part, has stated that it is working with the government to clarify the ban. "We are clarifying how BGMI was removed from the Google Play and App stores and will let you know as soon as we have specific information," Krafton said in a statement.

However, it appears that the BGMI publisher anticipated the ban. Krafton released an update less than a fortnight ago that allowed users to download the APK version of the game from its website. "BATTLEGROUNDS MOBILE INDIA is not only available on the App Store and Google Play, but players can now download the game directly from the BGMI website! With the most recent update, users can now directly install the game by clicking the APK download button on the website "Krafton, the BGMI developer, stated in the release.

Google and Apple both blocked BGMI on Thursday evening after the government requested it. Google issued an official statement on the subject, whereas Apple has yet to issue an official statement.

Battlegrounds Mobile India (BGMI) was released in the country last year as an alternative to PUBG Mobile, but it is now blocked in India. In 2020, the Indian government banned PUBG Mobile and several other Chinese apps, citing security concerns. The government agency has now requested that the BGMI game be removed from Google and Apple's respective app stores. The battle royale game can no longer be downloaded.

Google and Apple both blocked BGMI on Thursday evening after the government requested it. Google issued an official statement on the subject, whereas Apple has yet to issue an official statement. Google stated that the mobile game was removed after the government requested it.

"Upon receipt of the order, we notified the affected developer and blocked access to the app that was still available on the Play Store in India," a Google spokesperson told India Today Tech. When we currently click on BGMI, we are informed that the app is "not available in your region."

Krafton currently claims that it has no idea why BGMI has been banned in the country. The game developer is said to be working closely with government officials to resolve the issue and restore BGMI. "We are investigating how BGMI was removed from the Google Play and App stores and will update you as soon as we have specific information," Krafton told India Today Tech.

Although the game is no longer available for download, users who already have it installed on their phones can still play it. According to some users, they received an update after which they were logged out of the app.

We don't know why BGMI was removed from the Google Play and Apple App stores, but it appears to be due to some sort of violation.

A BGMI-related issue was raised in the Rajya Sabha just last week, and lawmakers have been debating whether action titles are harmful to children ever since. This was brought to light after a report a few days ago of a Lucknow boy killing his mother for not allowing him to play BGMI.

Given the current situation, it is safe to assume that BGMI has not yet been banned in India. If Krafton is successful in addressing the government's concerns, the game may return to app stores soon.

Reason of BGMI Ban

Battleground Mobile India (BGMI) was removed from Play Store and Apple App Store .

1. Recently a news we all have heard about a 16 year old boy killed his mother because his mother always told him not to play Pubg or BGMI. And because of this , last week in Rajya Sabha, a discussion was held on BGMI.

2. It is claimed that Tencent, the Internet Giant if China has 15.5 percent Krafton Stocks holdings.
