The ban on BGMI is the result of a government order. A Google spokesperson confirmed to TOI Tech-Gadgets Now that the app was removed in response to government orders. "Upon receipt of the order, we notified the affected developer and blocked access to the app that remained available on the Play Store in India," Google stated in a statement. Despite Apple's refusal to comment, the BGMI game app has also been removed from the company's India App Store. Krafton, for its part, has stated that it is working with the government to clarify the ban.
